Time tracking that fills itself in
No timers to start or forget. While Astrolinks runs, it notes which app and window is in front, on your computer, and sorts your day by client.

What it notes, and what it never does
Every 5 seconds while it runs, Astrolinks notes the app in front, the window’s title and, in supported browsers, the page address without anything after “?” or “#”. That is all. It never records keystrokes, screenshots or your clipboard, and the log stays on your computer.
It starts counting only after you say yes in the welcome. Pause is always one click away, at the bottom of the sidebar and in the menu bar.
Your day in one bar
Today shows how long you have counted, a slim bar of your shift that fills in as you work, and each client’s time. The panel on the left folds away when you want the timeline full width.
The timeline groups your day into stretches of work. Quick switches under a minute fold into the line they interrupted, so the list stays short. Show short visits brings every one back.
A workday starts four hours before your shift, so a night shift for a US client stays one day, even across midnight.
Sorted by client, by itself
Give each client a rule or two: a word in the window title, a website, or an app. From then on, every entry shows whose it was. If one lands in the wrong place, click the name and pick Just this entry or Always, which adds the rule for next time.
Notes, in the moment
Press ⌃⌥N, in any app, type what you just finished or what is in your way, and press Return. The note is filed under the client you were working for and lands in that report. Start it with “blocked” or “tomorrow” and it goes under Blockers or Tomorrow.
Kind to tired eyes
A reminder near the end of your shift to clock out, an optional break reminder, the command list and three text sizes. See the tour of the app.
Questions about automatic time tracking
Does it take screenshots?
No. Astrolinks never takes screenshots, screen video or keystrokes, and never reads your clipboard.
Why does my Mac ask for Screen Recording?
That is the permission macOS uses for reading window titles. Astrolinks never captures your screen.
Can I delete part of my day?
Yes. Delete an entry, today, or everything. Days are kept 14 days by default, and you choose from 1 to 365.
Is there a limit on Free?
Free counts up to 4 hours a workday for up to 2 clients. Pro and the trial have no daily limit.
Clock out with the report already written
7 days of Pro to start. No card. Your log stays on your computer. For Mac.
